Pet Food.

Today's pet food consists of Sophisticated nutritional science.

Its about protein, carbs, vitamins and minerals a well balanced diet. 

Want to bet some cats and dogs  eat healthier than their owners? 

The food formula for cats and dogs differ because dogs and cats have different nutritional requirements. Cats need more fat and protein in their diets than dogs do.

But the basic ingredients are similar. 

Serial,  wheat and rice. Workers weigh everything, blend it in mixer, grind it til they have it in the form of a powder. Then, the special machines transform it into a bite size pet food.  Then the pieces they go into storage for packaging and bagging.  

       The pet food industry does its research before anything else.

The cats and dogs are not so crazy about dry food. Its too hard to chew or too  mashy. 

If the pieces are too small they will swallow them without chewing, and not digest them properly. But if the pieces are too big they will gag on it and turned off to the food all together. So the automated scale weigh the exact quantity per package. 

 Shelf life is from 6-12 months depending on the formula.

 Pet food experts say dogs and cats prefer food with fatier content  and a combined meat and serial formula, than just serial alone.

 But too much meat flavor can turn them off. Cats are more particular they favor acidic food, and dogs like sweets too.
