•   Frontline works on the external of the skin of your dog or cat, and it works by absorbing into theirs of the skin. Its a topical medication.

              It works for 30 days, works for ticks and fleas

• There is ADVANTAGE, which is chemically different but works similar
• You can use other products in combination as long as they are chemically different, like FLEAS OFF a Natural Spray.

Flea and tick shampoo could be used just 2 days before the topical application is due. That way  by the time you apply topical it will work nicely.

The Flea life cycle lasts 3 months long, from larva stage back to an adult.  So when you are using topical product you don’t want to use it just once to get rid of fleas , you want to use it at least 3 months straight to completely kill the cycle of the fleas.
